Charles Leclerc surprised Oscar Piastri’s mother, Nicole Piastri, by expressing his intention to adopt the McLaren driver.
After the recent event, Charles Leclerc embarked on a journey to explore his Monegasque ancestry in preparation for the next race. In the past month, the McLaren driver shared details about his family background, revealing that the Chinese and Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix have a special meaning for him, representing his “home” races of 1/16 and 3/16, respectively.
In response to this, the only Monaco driver generously offered his support and suggested adopting the 23-year-old driver to help him in his quest. Consequently, the 26-year-old driver expressed his readiness to officially adopt the McLaren driver.
Nicole Piastri, known for her humor on social media, once again displayed her playful spirit in a lighthearted manner addressing the proposal of the Monegasque driver to adopt her son.
Regardless of whether the upcoming race is considered Piastri’s “home” race or not, there is no doubt that he will give his best performance on the track.
@Charles_Leclerc, I have some questions for you.
On Sunday, the team had an exceptional performance, finishing in second and fourth places. With the introduction of new updates before the Miami Grand Prix, the Woking-based team proved to be a strong competitor against Red Bull, resulting in Lando Norris’s first victory in the sport.
After the Imola Grand Prix, Oscar Piastri received comprehensive updates and expressed satisfaction with the car and the results achieved. The 23-year-old driver acknowledged that the results achieved were the best possible on the track.
Piastri seems to have gained confidence with the MCL38 car and is now looking forward to competing for victories in the upcoming races.
