Opel introduz tecnologia híbrida de 48V no Astra

Opel has announced that the Astra range has just been complemented with a 48-volt hybrid technology version, which is now available for order.

The propulsion system of the new Astra and Astra Sports Tourer Hybrid includes a lithium-ion battery that charges automatically under certain driving conditions, as well as a new 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine with 136 hp.

The engine was specifically developed for hybrid use and is paired with a new electrified dual-clutch transmission with six speeds and a 28 hp electric motor.

The electric motor supports the gasoline engine during acceleration and start-up, contributing torque, especially at low speeds, which benefits driving dynamics and emission reduction.

At low speeds, the electric motor also allows for zero-emission mode travel for up to one kilometer or up to 50% of city driving time.

The Astra and Astra Sports Tourer Hybrid offer three driving modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9 seconds and reach a top speed of 210 km/h.

“The new Astra and Astra Sports Tourer Hybrid with 48V technology are the ideal economical alternative for those who want to reduce consumption and emissions without having to rely on an external power source. At the same time, with the new Astra Hybrid, it is possible to temporarily travel in a fully electric way and, therefore, without local emissions”, emphasized Vincent Lehoucq, Opel’s director in Portugal and Spain.

Opel has already announced that the new Astra Hybrid is available for order starting at €32,705.
