It is already next Saturday, June 8, that Opel’s headquarters in Rüsselsheim will be open to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the brand.
According to the event’s motto “Forever forward since 1899”, customers, employees, and the general public will have the opportunity to learn about Opel’s milestones in the automotive industry. By touring the factory, for example, visitors can see behind the scenes or experience the excitement of Opel in a test drive of a competition model or the Rocks Electric.
The “125 years of Opel automobile production” is not the only anniversary to be celebrated on this occasion: in 1964 – exactly 60 years ago – the “Opel Design Studio” began operating as the first design center of a manufacturer in Europe. Therefore, visitors to Rüsselsheim can also admire automotive design icons from the last six decades. In Portugal, the ceremony will be broadcast live, starting at 10 am on Saturday.
Opel has already announced that on that day they will show for the first time to the public the new Frontera and Grandland, which include 100% electric versions.
