The start of a new Chinese year is always a cause for celebration, and it seems that even companies unrelated to the occasion want to get in on the action. Recently, Vespa, an Italian company, announced a special version of their 946 scooter to commemorate the Year of the Dragon. While this may not appeal to everyone, it is undeniably a luxurious vehicle that pays homage to the Lunar New Year.

But Vespa is not the only company capitalizing on this opportunity. Rolls-Royce, a renowned British luxury brand, has unveiled three unique versions of their Phantom Extended and one Cullinan, specially made for clients around the world and the Rolls-Royce Private Office Shanghai. These vehicles are adorned with intricate dragon motifs, showcasing the brand’s attention to detail and craftsmanship.

It’s worth noting that the mechanical components of these Rolls-Royce vehicles remain unchanged, including the powerful 6.75-liter V12 engines. However, the exterior design is radically different from the standard models. The fascia panels feature artistic reinterpretations of the dragon, and the paint jobs are unique, with the luxury SUV sporting a duotone Cherry Red and Crystal finish over Selby Grey with a Crystal finish, while the Phantoms come in two-tone Silver and Cherry Red or Black with a Crystal finish.

The interior is where Rolls-Royce truly goes all out with the dragon theme. The dragons are prominently displayed in eye-catching red, with touches of white, yellow, and brown, on the front passenger panels, headrests, and even the roofs. But the most impressive feature is the bespoke starlight headliner, designed in the shape of a dragon. This is the first time such a design has been created, and it showcases the brand’s commitment to pushing boundaries. The headliner is composed of 677 individual fiber optic stars, arranged to form an “abstract dragon motif,” surrounded by an additional 677 lights.

These limited edition Rolls-Royce vehicles are a testament to the brand’s dedication to craftsmanship and attention to detail. They offer a unique way to celebrate the Lunar New Year and are sure to turn heads wherever they go.

Rolls-Royce Unveils Exquisite Dragon-Themed Cars

In a stunning display of craftsmanship, Rolls-Royce has released a limited edition series of four cars adorned with intricate dragon designs. Each vehicle features meticulous attention to detail, with the dragons on the headrests alone requiring over 5,000 stitches and 20 hours of work. The dragons, all facing right, pay homage to the eastern cardinal point, symbolizing the place where the Sun rises.

The Chinese zodiac calendar is elegantly represented in three of the cars, with stainless steel inlaid in the rear piano black picnic tables. The names of the animals associated with each year in the Chinese zodiac are also inscribed in Chinese calligraphy. The dragon, a prominent symbol, is highlighted in gold.

Adding to the allure, the front fascia of the dashboard boasts a carbon fiber veil gallery, providing a touch of sophistication. To ensure utmost comfort, the floors are lined with luxurious lambswool carpets.

Remarkably, each of the four cars was meticulously crafted by a single artist, taking over two weeks to complete. While Rolls-Royce has not disclosed the intended recipients of these extraordinary vehicles, it’s safe to assume they will come with a hefty price tag. The Phantom starts at nearly half a million dollars, while the Cullinan demands at least $400,000.

This exclusive collection showcases the unparalleled artistry and dedication of Rolls-Royce in creating truly exceptional automobiles.
