In a thrilling turn of events at the British Grand Prix, the Haas F1 Team drivers found themselves spinning out of contention after a dramatic collision, leaving both Esteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman disappointed and frustrated.
Oliver Bearman’s home race debut at Silverstone turned into a nightmare as he faced a grid penalty and license points deduction following an incident during the final practice session. Despite a strong start in the race and pushing for a top-10 finish, his hopes were dashed when a contact with teammate Esteban Ocon sent him into a spin, ultimately missing out on valuable points.
Expressing his disappointment, Bearman shared, “It was a tough race. At one point, I was hit and spun out, but we were in P11 and fighting for points, so it’s a real shame. We were very quick this weekend, and it’s disappointing to end like this.”
Ocon, who had secured points in the previous races, also faced a challenging race, finishing outside the points in 13th place. He commented, “It was an extremely frustrating race. Right from the start, I found myself between two cars, and I thought there would be contact. I’m saddened by what happened with Ollie at the end – we both deserved more today.”
Despite the setbacks, both drivers remain optimistic and determined to bounce back stronger in the upcoming races. Stay tuned for more updates on the Haas F1 Team’s journey in the Formula 1 championship.
