Oilstainlab Unveils $1.85 Million HF-11 Supercar—A Lightweight Marvel with Extreme Performance

For those craving another ultra-exclusive supercar, California’s Oilstainlab has just unveiled their latest creation, the 2026 HF-11. Following last year’s IndyCar-inspired Half11, this new offering combines extreme engineering and cutting-edge design to deliver a mid-engined, rear-wheel-drive machine priced at an eye-watering $1.85 million.

A Lightweight Powerhouse

The HF-11, engineered by Oilstainlab founders Nikita and Iliya Bridan, is a true marvel of lightweight design. Weighing in at under 2,000 pounds—less than a Mazda Miata—yet boasting more than three and a half times the power, it’s set to redefine performance in its category. At the heart of the HF-11 is a naturally aspirated 4.5-liter flat-six engine, producing a staggering 650 horsepower and revving up to an ear-splitting 12,000 rpm. This engine is not sourced from Porsche, despite appearances; instead, it’s an entirely unique powerplant.

Buyers can choose between a traditional six-speed manual or a seven-speed sequential transmission, offering driving purists an experience tailored to their preferences. To maintain the supercar’s featherweight status, Oilstainlab uses a carbon fiber monocoque combined with a full carbon body and forged centerlock wheels. The company is even considering a hand-beaten aluminum body for a classic touch, provided they can find the right craftsman.

Street-Legal and Track-Only Variants

Oilstainlab plans to offer both street-legal and track-only versions of the HF-11. The track variant will feature 18-inch wheels on both axles, fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport Legends slicks, perfect for carving up race circuits. Meanwhile, the street version will come with staggered 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires for optimal performance on public roads.

The HF-11 won’t just be limited to internal combustion. An all-electric variant is in development, promising a massive 860 horsepower. This EV version, however, will carry a price tag of $2.35 million, a $500,000 premium over the gas model. The electric version is expected to weigh around 2,101 pounds, only about 100 pounds more than its gasoline counterpart—impressive, given its 80-kWh battery pack.

A Supercar with Modern Comforts

Despite its track-focused nature, the HF-11 doesn’t skimp on comfort. The car comes equipped with air conditioning, a digital rearview mirror, power and heated mirrors, and a reversing camera. Both the seats and pedals are adjustable, ensuring a comfortable fit even for drivers as tall as 6’3″. The butterfly doors add a dramatic flair, enhancing the car’s supercar credentials.

In addition to its performance and design, the HF-11 features a sophisticated suspension setup. A pushrod suspension with adjustable Öhlins dampers promises precise handling, while the 45:55 weight distribution ensures balanced performance. Braking power is provided by six-piston calipers with 394-mm discs at the front and four-piston calipers with 390-mm discs at the rear. The car also includes a limited-slip differential for enhanced traction and control.

Dimensions and Efficiency

The HF-11 measures 170 inches in length, 80 inches in width, and stands just 44 inches tall, with a wheelbase of 106.8 inches. Oilstainlab estimates the car’s fuel efficiency at 14 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway, with a 25-gallon fuel tank allowing for extended driving range.

Limited Production and Future Prospects

Oilstainlab plans to build just 25 units of the HF-11, and a working prototype is expected to debut next spring. Despite its impressive specs, finding buyers could be a challenge. Competing in the crowded hypercar market without the brand recognition of established automakers will be a significant hurdle for the boutique manufacturer. However, if the HF-11 delivers on its promises, it could carve out a niche for discerning enthusiasts seeking a unique, high-performance machine with a bespoke touch.

With its extreme power, lightweight design, and attention to detail, the HF-11 has all the makings of an automotive masterpiece. Only time will tell if Oilstainlab’s bold entry into the ultra-luxury segment will be met with the success it aims for.
