College Basketball Game Turns Haircut Distraction

In a thrilling college basketball game, the student sections are taking the competition to a whole new level. The Oakland University Golden Grizzlies recently hosted the Cleveland State Vikings, and the student section at Oakland had a unique way of causing a distraction.

With a commanding 62-42 lead for Oakland, Cleveland State’s Tevin Smith found himself at the free-throw line. Sensing the perfect opportunity, some daring individuals in the Oakland student section decided to give each other haircuts. Yes, you read that right.

Letting your college buddies give you a haircut takes a lot of courage. There’s always a risk of ending up with an embarrassing design on your head. However, it seems that these guys lucked out and managed to avoid any unfortunate mishaps.

What’s even more impressive is that they were considerate enough to bring a bag to catch the discarded hair. A thoughtful gesture, although anyone who has tried to buzz their own hair knows that it tends to go everywhere. Even if they had performed the haircut in a sterile plastic bubble, there would still be people a few rows over picking out hair shards from their $20 arena nachos.

Of course, the ultimate test of a distraction is whether it actually works. In this case, the distraction seemed to have an impact. Smith made the first free throw, but missed the second. Not a bad success rate for a distraction technique. Congratulations to these daring individuals.

However, it may be a while before they can repeat this hair-raising performance. It takes time for hair to grow back, after all. Nonetheless, the Golden Grizzlies didn’t need much help to secure a convincing 83-71 victory.

In the world of college basketball, it seems that anything goes when it comes to distracting opponents. From swim teams to daring haircuts, the creativity knows no bounds. Who knows what the next game will bring? One thing’s for sure – it won’t be boring.
