Taylor Barnard, a British driver competing for AIX Racing, emerged victorious in the Sprint Race held in Monaco. He led the race from start to finish, overcoming the chaos caused by the safety car. Despite intense competition from F3 champion Gabriel Bortoleto, Barnard managed to hold onto his position during the first safety car restart. Kimi Antonelli, a junior driver for Mercedes, secured fourth place and also earned an additional point for the fastest lap. Although Barnard had a shaky start, he quickly recovered and left Bortoleto behind as they rounded the first corner. The race was briefly interrupted by yellow flags when Alpine junior driver Victor Martins crashed into the barriers at Turn 1. Fortunately, all drivers resumed the race safely after a one-lap safety car period. Dennis Hauger maintained his third place position while trying to catch up to Bortoleto, but Antonelli began to apply pressure. Franco Colapinto overtook Roman Stanek to secure fifth place and subsequently set the fastest lap in pursuit of Antonelli. On the 6th lap, Red Bull junior driver Pepe Marti crashed into the barriers at the end of Turn 16, causing significant debris scattered across the track and resulting in the deployment of a second safety car. However, Barnard had already started to pull away from the rest of the pack. The safety car restart went smoothly, with the top five drivers pulling away from the rest of the group as the Drag Reduction System (DRS) was activated on the 10th lap. Kush Maini received a 10-second penalty for going off track and gaining an advantage at Turn 1 on the first lap, adding to his penalty count for the weekend. Richard Verschoor, the driver who had secured pole position for the Feature Race, suffered damage to the front wing after brushing against the wall at Mirabeau corner, leading to a virtual safety car deployment on the 11th lap.
Antonelli closely followed Hauger in the battle for third position, with the two drivers exchanging fastest laps. Meanwhile, Oliver Bearman, teammate of the Mercedes junior driver, collided with the wall at Turn 19. Joshua Durksen received a 10-second penalty for causing a collision with Verschoor, resulting in the activation of the Virtual Safety Car. At the halfway point of the Sprint Race, Durksen gained five positions and was chasing Zane Maloney for 12th place. Despite damage to his left front tire, Bearman continued his quest for a podium spot by following Zak O’Sullivan in 10th place. The 19-year-old race leader managed to establish a 2.5-second advantage over Bortoleto on the 19th lap and maintained his lead amidst the chaos caused by the safety car. Bearman experienced a power loss moment and slowed down in the tunnel on the 21st lap due to the damage from his collision with the wall. Maloney, the current championship leader, found himself in 11th place with only 10 laps remaining, four positions behind his closest rival, Paul Aron. Maloney attempted to overtake O’Sullivan on the inside at the hairpin, resulting in a collision that damaged his front wing. On the 24th lap, Maloney locked up his brakes coming out of Turn 17 and collided with the rear of Maini’s Invicta Racing car. This mistake led to the red flag being waved, as the two cars were left stranded in the middle of Turn 17, leaving very little space between them. Bearman received a new wing during the red flag period, while the drivers waited in the pit lane for 15 minutes for the cars to be recovered. The restart on the 26th lap saw the drivers struggling to regain tire temperature, driving cautiously. Enzo Fittipaldi managed to gain two positions from his starting position and was just one place away from scoring points in ninth. Barnard extended his lead to 4.8 seconds over Bortoleto in second place, while Antonelli set the fastest lap to secure crucial points for Prema Racing. In his first victory, Barnard finished 5.2 seconds ahead of second-placed Bortoleto, who was only half a second ahead of Hauger. Antonelli crossed the finish line in fourth place, followed by Colapinto and Stanek, who led Aron and Hadjar throughout the chaotic race.
