Noah Gragson is gearing up for a fresh start in the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series, racing the iconic No. 4 Ford Mustang for Front Row Motorsports (FRM). After a turbulent few seasons that nearly derailed his career, the 25-year-old driver is determined to turn things around, with his former Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) crew chief, Drew Blickensderfer, and key team members by his side.
From Adversity to Opportunity
Gragson’s NASCAR journey has been nothing short of a rollercoaster. After a challenging rookie season with Legacy MC in 2023, his move to Stewart-Haas Racing in 2024 offered redemption. Despite SHR’s struggles as a team, Gragson produced solid performances that proved his potential. However, when SHR announced it would cease operations at the end of the season, Gragson was left in limbo once again.
That uncertainty ended when Front Row Motorsports acquired SHR’s third charter and signed Gragson to drive the No. 4 car, a number famously associated with SHR’s now-retired driver Kevin Harvick.
A Familiar Team in a New Setting
Gragson is not entering this new chapter alone. Several key members from SHR’s No. 10 car team, including Blickensderfer, have joined him at FRM, creating a sense of continuity and familiarity. The driver is optimistic about the synergy this group brings, saying:
“To be able to keep some great guys and girls that work on the 10 car to be able to move over now to the 4 car at Front Row, it’s really exciting, and I can’t wait to get to battle with those guys and girls.”
Gragson also emphasized the bond he’s developed with Blickensderfer, describing him as a “big brother” and a crucial mentor:
“Drew and I were brand new to each other at the start of 2024. Luckily, that group was together for a couple of years there. He’s been a big brother to me and somebody that I can always count on.”
A New Chapter for the No. 4 Car
The No. 4 car comes with a storied legacy, having been driven to numerous victories and championships by Kevin Harvick. For Gragson, stepping into this role is as much an honor as it is a challenge. The young driver understands the weight of the expectations but sees the move to FRM as a golden opportunity to rebuild his career.
Eyes on Redemption in 2025
Gragson is eager to leverage the momentum he built in 2024 with Blickensderfer and the former SHR crew:
“It’s been an unbelievable rollercoaster of emotions and challenges over a handful of years for myself and all the employees that were at Stewart-Haas. To be able to keep some of those great people and start fresh with the No. 4 at Front Row is incredible.”
With his eyes firmly set on redemption, Gragson is not just focused on surviving but thriving in NASCAR’s premier series. The upcoming season will test his resilience, skill, and ability to live up to the legacy of the car he now drives.
What’s Next for Gragson and FRM?
As Gragson embarks on this new chapter, the NASCAR community will be watching closely to see if the young driver can fulfill the potential he’s shown in flashes. With Blickensderfer’s guidance, a reunited crew, and the backing of Front Row Motorsports, the 2025 season could mark the beginning of a new legacy for both Gragson and the No. 4 car.
