Nissan announced the launch of the X-Trail Nismo in Japan, a sportier version developed to provide an excellent driving experience, with unparalleled agility in corners, powerful acceleration, and refined handling.
To enhance the sporty performance of the X-Trail Nismo, Nissan equipped the SUV with a suspension that includes new Kayaba shock absorbers with a oscillating valve system. This technology minimizes body movement, a specific challenge for SUVs, and maximizes driving comfort.
Additionally, the all-wheel drive system e-4ORCE has been specifically tuned for the Nissan X-Trail Nismo, increasing torque distribution to the rear axle and acting on the front wheels to improve cornering, optimizing trajectory maintenance during acceleration.
Furthermore, the acceleration characteristics and torque distribution between the front and rear axles are calibrated according to each driving mode, ensuring an appropriate response to different usage conditions.
The Nissan X-Trail Nismo is equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport EV tires, which maximize the performance of the e-4ORCE, mounted on 20’’ wheels that feature wider rims to enhance response during driving. Additionally, the power steering has been optimized to complement the suspension and tires.
Visually, the sportier version of the X-Trail features chrome black details that extend horizontally above the grille, perfectly integrating with the unique lights to emphasize a more robust stance.
The front spoiler is adorned with the Nismo logo at the center and generates downforce. At the rear, a diffuser and race-inspired rear fog lights evoke the aesthetics of motorsport.
With a base color in black and striking red details, the interior maintains the comfort and practicality recognized in the Nissan X-Trail, while incorporating the premium quality and dynamic sportiness of the Nismo models.
In this way, emphasis is placed on the sports seats Recaro adjusted by Nismo, which are available as an option. They offer high levels of support to suppress body movement during turns, helping the driver feel in tune with the vehicle, and are equipped with an electric reclining mechanism and heating to provide greater comfort.
For now, the X-Trail Nismo is only available in the Japanese market and there are no plans for it to reach the national market.
