Nissan announced that its fiscal profit amounted to 426.6 billion yen (€2.55 billion) in the fiscal year ended in March, representing a 92% increase compared to the previous year.
In a statement, the Japanese automaker justified the net result achieved with the increase in sales in North America and Europe. The company’s operating profit also grew by 50.8%, to 568.7 billion yen (€3.4 billion), year-on-year.
On the other hand, sales revenues increased by 19.7% in the fiscal year, to 12.68 trillion yen (€75.86 billion), driven by a weaker yen.
In the fiscal year ended in March of this year, which began in April 2023, Nissan sold a total of 3,442,000 vehicles, representing a 4.1% increase, largely driven by sales in North America and Europe.
