Nikola Tsolov: The Rising Star Ready to Conquer Formula 2 and Beyond!

Prepare to witness the meteoric rise of Nikola Tsolov, the sensational Bulgarian racing prodigy who has shattered records and is poised to take the motorsport world by storm! After a jaw-dropping Formula 3 season, Tsolov, now a Red Bull junior driver, is gearing up for his highly anticipated debut in the final rounds of the 2025 Formula 2 campaign. With a trail of victories behind him, this young dynamo is not just racing against opponents; he’s racing against time to secure his place in Formula 1.

Tsolov’s year has been nothing short of extraordinary, as he claimed the title of the most successful driver in Formula 3 history, breaking the record for the most wins in a single season. With a spectacular finish as Vice-Champion, his stunning performance has earned him a coveted spot in the final two rounds of the 2025 F2 season, as well as a full season in 2026. But the stakes are higher than ever as he prepares to tackle the grueling challenges ahead.

“Super exciting opportunity to be honest,” Tsolov exclaimed, reflecting on his last-minute entry into F2. Initially planning to race in the final round of the 2025 season, an unexpected turn of events opened the door for him with Campos Racing. “We were trying to find a seat for me, and thankfully, we managed to find a way. I’m feeling prepared,” he added confidently.

As he gears up for the upcoming season, Tsolov acknowledges the intense physical demands of F2, especially with formidable circuits like Qatar and Jeddah on the horizon. “Stepping into F2 is going to be a lot more physical, with many more travel weekends,” he noted, emphasizing the importance of his rigorous preparation. “I’ve been focusing on my physical fitness, and the testing has been positive.”

Despite the thrill of new opportunities, Tsolov understands the immense pressure that comes with being a Red Bull junior driver. “Mentally, it gets tougher just because you have more weekends,” he admitted. With relentless competition and expectations rising, he is determined to hit the ground running and secure a strong start. “After three years in F3, I’ve been waiting for this moment for a while. I couldn’t be more ready for it,” he declared.

His journey has not been without its hurdles. Tsolov candidly shared how budget constraints have affected his previous seasons. “Winning three races last year helped me find the budget for this year,” he disclosed. “That’s a big plus for me, especially with the additional support from Red Bull as I transition into F2.”

Having transitioned from the Alpine academy to the Red Bull junior program in 2025, Tsolov is immensely grateful for the support he has received. “Red Bull has been instrumental in my development, helping me understand the engineering side of racing and improving my communication skills,” he said. With this backing, he hopes to impress both his team and fans alike in the coming season.

Reflecting on his time with Campos Racing, Tsolov expressed a sense of comfort and familiarity. “They’re more like a family to me rather than just a team,” he stated, emphasizing the strong bond he has developed with the organization that has supported him through his Spanish F4 and F3 campaigns.

As Tsolov prepares to step into F2, he bears the weight of being the first Bulgarian driver to stand on the podium and win in F3. Yet, rather than succumbing to the pressure, he embraces it. “I think it’s more pride. It’s motivation to keep going. I feel the support from my fans, which propels me forward,” he asserted.

Navigating the highs and lows of motorsport is no easy feat. Tsolov shared his most significant career highlights, reflecting on his dominant victory in F4 and the pivotal races that defined his journey. “Hungary last year was a really good race for me; it was a deciding race for my future,” he recalled.

As he gears up for the next chapter, Tsolov has learned to manage the pressure that comes with being in the spotlight. “Everyone has expectations, and everyone’s career can go wrong at any time. I’m not the only one in this,” he reasoned, finding solace in the shared struggles of fellow drivers.

With the growing media attention on F2 and F3, criticism can be relentless. Tsolov has faced scrutiny for both on-track performances and social media presence. However, he remains steadfast, acknowledging that every driver gives their best, regardless of the outcomes. “People from the outside cannot really see what’s going on inside. But at the end of the day, we all strive for excellence,” he said, defending his fellow competitors.

As Nikola Tsolov prepares to make his mark in Formula 2, the world watches with bated breath. With his record-breaking past, unwavering determination, and the robust support of Red Bull and Campos, he stands on the precipice of greatness. Buckle up, motorsport fans, because the Tsolov era is just beginning!
