Nicolas Cavigliasso celebrated the victory in the ninth stage of the Dakar 2024 in Challenger. This Tuesday did not bring radical changes to the classification, which continues to be comfortably led by Mitchell Guthrie.
After consistently being the strongest of the day, Cavigliasso (Taurus) confirmed the victory by surpassing Francisco López Contardo (Can-Am Factory Racing) by 7m05s. Right behind was Rokas Baciuska, 20 seconds behind his Chilean colleague… and with only 15 seconds ahead of Cristina Gutiérrez (Red Bull Off Road Junior Team USA by BFG/Taurus).
Despite only finishing seventh in the stage, Guthrie (Taurus) remains comfortable at the top of the overall standings, having lost about six minutes. He is 28m35s ahead of Gutiérrez, with Contardo in third, Baciuska in fourth, and Austin Jones (Can-Am Factory Team) closing the top five. Ricardo Porém (MMP/BRP) achieved the ninth best time and is currently seventh in the overall standings.
