Nico Hulkenberg sugere que equipes como a Haas precisam correr riscos para garantir pontos após o polêmico GP da Arábia Saudita.

Kevin Magnussen was the protagonist of a controversial defense against Yuki Tsunoda during the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, which played a crucial role for the Haas F1 team to secure a valuable point. The race witnessed Magnussen’s controversial maneuvers to support his teammate Nico Hulkenberg in scoring points. With just one point, the Haas F1 team currently occupies sixth place, making it imperative to accumulate points. Consequently, Hulkenberg believes that employing unconventional strategies is necessary.

The team’s attention was drawn to the fact that the top five teams occupy the top ten positions, leaving little opportunity for lower-ranking teams to score. In light of this, Hulkenberg emphasized the need for teams and drivers to adopt unconventional tactics, similar to what Magnussen demonstrated. Although these strategies may not be aligned with logic or common sense, they can generate impressive results for the American team.

In addition to these bold maneuvers, Hulkenberg highlighted the importance of midfield drivers taking risks and exploring alternative approaches. The 36-year-old driver recalled past cases where such moves yielded good results. As a result, Hulkenberg remains hopeful for better results throughout the season and a comfortable position in the championship. It is worth noting that Red Bull requested the FIA to take action against Magnussen’s tactics that favored his teammate.

The new Haas team principal praised the commendable efforts of his drivers in scoring points during the race. Komatsu acknowledged the intense competition for the tenth position against eight other drivers, emphasizing the need for each move to be flawless in order to score for the team.

In addition, the team principal recalled the moment when the Haas team realized that Magnussen had little chance of scoring points. Komatsu praised Magnussen’s exceptional driving skills and his ability to successfully defend against the drivers behind him. Hulkenberg had previously expressed his intention to repay Magnussen for his daring tactics that helped him secure a point.

With the first points of the 2024 season, the Haas F1 team had a promising start. The future will reveal how the lower-ranked teams will fare against the American constructor. Currently, the team’s prospects seem strong and optimistic.
