In a thrilling turn of events at Le Mans, the #43 Inter Europol Competition roared to victory in the LMP2 class, defying all odds after overcoming a late drive-through penalty. Driver Nick Yelloly faced adversity with a pit speed violation investigation, but the team’s resilience paid off as they completed 367 laps and clinched the top spot, finishing a commanding 1.55.753s ahead of the competition.

The #19 VDS Panis Racing initially seemed poised for victory, inheriting the lead with just over half an hour remaining. However, a stroke of misfortune in the form of a minor mechanical issue dashed their hopes, allowing Inter Europol Competition to reclaim the lead and secure a well-deserved win.

Despite a falter in speed towards the end, the #19 VDS Panis Racing managed to hold on to second place, with the #199 AO by TF team rounding out the top three. The intense competition saw the #9 Iron Lynx-Proton, #29 TDS Racing, and #11 Proton Competition taking the next positions, all finishing two laps behind the leaders.

Further down the rankings, United Autosports’ #22 car fought back to seventh place, showcasing impressive determination after early-race challenges. Meanwhile, the #25 Algarve Pro Racing and AF Corse’s #183 car battled for positions, with the latter unable to replicate Ferrari’s success in the Hypercar category.

As the race unfolded, the #34 Inter Europol Competition, #23 United Autosports, #16 RLR M Sport, and #45 Algarve Pro Racing rounded off the top ten, each team demonstrating tenacity and skill on the track.

However, not all teams saw the checkered flag, as #24 Nielsen Racing faced an early retirement due to a collision at the Tetre Rouge Esses. Later in the race, #18 IDEC Sport encountered misfortune when driver Andre Lotterer found himself stranded in the gravel traps following a wheel detachment, bringing an abrupt end to their strong performance.

The Le Mans LMP2 class battle delivered excitement, drama, and unexpected twists, solidifying the #43 Inter Europol Competition’s triumph as a testament to their unwavering determination and skill on the legendary circuit. The fierce competition and thrilling showdowns kept fans on the edge of their seats, making this victory a memorable moment in motorsport history.
