Owen Tippett of the Philadelphia Flyers holds the record for the highest speed this season, clocking in at 24.21 mph during a game against the Montreal Canadiens. Only three other players have surpassed the 24 mph mark: Braden Point of the Tampa Bay Lightning (24.15 mph), Nathan MacKinnon (24.05 mph), and surprisingly, McDavid himself (24.05 mph).
