The next generation of the Dacia Sandero will have a fully electric version. The confirmation was made by Denis Le Vot, CEO of Dacia.
The Sandero is Dacia’s best-selling model, with over 235,800 units sold in 2023, and according to “Automotive News Europe”, the next generation of the model, which will arrive in 2027 or 2028, will feature an electric variant.
“The next generation of the Sandero will have a combustion engine, but it will also have an electric version,” said Denis Le Volt. “It will be born in 2027 or 2028 and will last until 2035.”
The Dacia executive also added that the next Sandero will have different dimensions from the current one, benefiting from the development work carried out by the Renault Group with electric models, such as the new Renault 5, presented at the Geneva Motor Show.
