As promised, Toyota presented the Corolla Concept at the Tokyo Mobility Show, thus previewing the 13th generation of the best-selling car of all time, with over 50 million units sold since the launch of the first generation in 1966. Confirming all the rumors, the offering will include, in addition to combustion engines, electric and hybrid powertrains, with one of the most relevant aspects of the prototype displayed in the Japanese capital being the much more dynamic and sporty design, and an interior abundant in technology, especially in the area of connectivity.

At the presentation conference, Koji Sato, CEO of Toyota, admitted that the approach to powertrains will be tailored to the markets, according to the strategy “To You, Toyota,” that is, “Toyota made to fit every need,” especially since the pace of electrification is not the same worldwide. “The Earth is vast, the world diverse. The roads are different, and the energy realities are too. But there is something we all share: the feeling of caring for the Earth. And we all want to drive attractive cars, regardless of the powertrain! This car is filled with inventions aimed at making that possible,” said the head of the world’s largest automaker.
