Renault mostra o interior do protótipo do Twingo E-Tech elétrico

The new generation of the Renault Twingo will hit the market in 2026, and the model is expected to enter production next autumn.

However, the British “Autocar” has now caught the new Renault model undergoing road tests and revealed new images of the new Twingo E-Tech, which promises to be an affordable electric model.

With an expressive look, the Twingo E-Tech prototype features a front that recalls the first generation of the small model, with round headlights that stand out from the body, giving it an original, modern, and technological appearance.

Furthermore, the front is also marked by small openings on the hood, not to cool the engine, but to pay homage to the car’s legacy. In profile, the highlight is on the round door handles, which are inherited from the 1992 model, now with a round edge that lights up.

The interior has not yet been revealed, but considering the design presented by the prototype, it is expected to reflect the spirit of the first generation, with its spacious and functional layout, featuring a cylindrical and suspended dashboard, along with a 7’’ digital instrument panel and a 10.1’’ central multimedia screen.

A promised fluid layout of the cabin includes easily accessible storage areas, with spaces under the instrument panel for bags and everyday items, and a flat area under the cylinder that spans the entire width of the cabin. A surface that allows passengers to keep a book, a mobile phone, or even sunglasses easily accessible.

Regarding the engine, although Renault has not yet revealed technical data, it is expected that the Twingo E-Tech, which will be based on a special version of the AmpR Small platform, will be equipped with an LFP battery from the Chinese company CATL, with a storage capacity of approximately 30 kWh, allowing for a range of up to 300 kilometers, according to the WLTP cycle.
