Opel mostra o novo Frontera que traz versão 100% elétrica
After the release, a few weeks ago, of the first images of the new Frontera, Opel announced today the opening of orders for the new compact SUV, which will be available in five and seven-seat versions, and will arrive in the national market starting from €24,990 for the Hybrid 48 V technology variant, and from €29,990 for the 100% electric version. The Frontera Hybrid is equipped with a 1.2-liter turbo gasoline engine, specifically developed for hybrid use, available with two power levels, 100 and 136 hp, and operates in combination with a 21 kW (28 hp) electric motor and an electrified six-speed dual-clutch transmission. In addition to the hybrid versions, the Frontera now has an unprecedented 100% electric variant equipped with a 113 hp electric motor powered by a 44 kWh battery, which can be charged from 20 to 80% in just 26 minutes, and offers a range of 305 km. Aesthetically, the new Frontera presents a vertical front silhouette and unique front proportions that combine a functional and spacious interior volume with a very bold and robust, yet modern and expressive look.

The new “Blitz” emblem of the brand celebrates its debut in a series model and is placed in the center of the black Opel Vizor, giving the front of the Frontera a unique identity and seamlessly integrating the Eco LED headlights with automatic high beams and the central Opel Blitz. The Vizor is supported by a trapezoidal cooling opening in the lower third and enhances the solid and robust stance of the new SUV. The prominent fenders and sills, as well as the attractive C-pillar, underline its robust character.

In the cabin, the highlight is the Pure Panel, composed of two 10″ screens, one for the instrument panel and another for the infotainment system. The Frontera also offers many practical standard features, including the innovative smartphone station.

The new Frontera in the five-seat configuration can hold over 450 liters of luggage, which can reach up to 1600 liters with the rear seats folded down.

The Opel has confirmed that it will also offer a version of the Frontera with three rows of seats and seven seats. The Frontera equipment versions are only two: the entry-level Frontera and the top-of-the-range GS version. However, Opel has made it clear that the entry-level version is well equipped.

The GS variant will have features such as multimedia infotainment with a 10” color touchscreen and navigation, as well as a rearview camera. Frontera customers can further customize their vehicle with two optional packages.

Opel also revealed that the arrival of the first units of the new Frontera is scheduled for October.
