Senior Bowl RB Has Met The Mannings

University of New Hampshire running back Dylan Laube, who grew up in The Hamptons ocean resort in New York, is making waves at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama. Laube, who has had the opportunity to meet famous NFL head coaches and catch passes from star college quarterbacks, is no stranger to rubbing shoulders with football royalty. In fact, Laube had the chance to catch passes from none other than Eli Manning, former quarterback for the New York Giants.

During his high school years at Westhampton Beach High School, Laube was invited to throw the football with Manning, who had purchased a house in The Hamptons. Laube recalls the experience fondly, stating, “I was alone catching passes from him several times. It was awesome.” This experience paid off for Laube, as he went on to set a New Hampshire Wildcats record with 295 receiving yards in a single game.

Despite his relatively small stature at 5-foot-10 and 208 pounds, Laube’s speed and versatility have caught the attention of Senior Bowl executive director Jim Nagy. Nagy praised Laube’s ability to “run away from people” and highlighted his potential to play as a receiver in the Senior Bowl. Laube’s impressive performance as a first team Associated Press All-American for New Hampshire has solidified his reputation as a natural receiver.

Laube’s encounters with football legends don’t stop at Eli Manning. He also had the chance to meet Arch Manning, the nephew of Eli and Peyton Manning. Laube recalls meeting Arch when he was just a sixth-grade quarterback with exceptional skills. Arch has since become a highly sought-after prospect in the football world.

For Laube, participating in the Senior Bowl has been a dream come true. He expressed his excitement and gratitude for the opportunity, stating, “I’ve been dreaming about this – playing at the Senior Bowl. And it finally came. I’m trying to make the best of my opportunity and just run with it.” Laube’s journey from catching passes from Eli Manning as a high schooler to showcasing his skills at the Senior Bowl is a testament to his dedication and talent.
