The sixth generation of the Toyota RAV4 is expected to be officially presented before the end of 2025; however, the first images have now surfaced on the Chinese social media platform, “Weibo.”
It is anticipated that the refresh of the current generation of the RAV4, which has been on sale since 2018, will maintain the TNGA-K platform, allowing for a “full hybrid” and plug-in system. Additionally, it is expected that the new generation of the RAV4 may introduce a 100% electric variant.
The exterior will feature a new sleek look, characterized by C-shaped daytime running lights, a straight grille similar to that of the Camry, and a muscular D-pillar. At the rear, everything suggests that the new generation of the RAV4 will adopt a lighting signature with LED taillights spanning the entire width.
The image that surfaced on social media is believed to be the successor to the Toyota Wildlander, an exclusive version of the RAV4 for China, developed in partnership with FAW and sold by GAC in the Chinese market.
We will have to wait in the coming times to officially learn about the refreshed RAV4, as it is certain that the first images of the model recently appeared in specialized magazines during the initial tests of the model, still sporting traditional camouflage.
