Novo Citroën C3: versões a combustão em Portugal com um preço de €14 990

The fourth and new generation of the Citroën C3 is ready to hit the national market, already available for order starting at €14,990.

After surprising with the launch of the new ë-C3 100% electric starting at €23,300, the French brand now announces the version equipped with a non-electrified turbocharged three-cylinder 1.2-liter gasoline engine, delivering 100 hp. The power is transmitted to the front wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox.

The “Hybrid 100” version, to be launched at the end of the year, is more efficient, using the same gasoline engine as the base version, but enhanced with a 48-volt lithium-ion battery and an electric motor integrated into the six-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

The electric motor produces 28 hp, however only 12 hp are provided to accelerate dynamically.

Citroën claims that the 48V hybrid technology is capable of performing up to 50% of city trips in electric mode without the need for recharging, allowing the driver to enjoy the smoothness and flexibility of electric driving, reducing emissions and fuel consumption by about 10% compared to an equivalent gasoline version. In the combined WLTP cycle, this version is certified with 117 g/km of CO2.

With 4.01 m in length, the new C3 offers more interior space and easier access to the cabin than the previous generation, benefiting from a ground clearance that goes from 135 mm in the predecessor to 197 mm in this renewed C3. In addition to giving the car a small SUV appearance, this increased ground clearance makes it easier to enter and exit the vehicle and provides a safer driving experience over bumps and potholes often found in urban and suburban driving routes.

Furthermore, the trunk volume has increased by 10 liters to 310 liters. Its capacity can be increased thanks to the modularity of the 60-40 rear seat.

The new C3 is available in two levels of equipment, as part of the new philosophy of the French brand to simplify its range. In this way, the entry-level version You comes with a high level of standard equipment, including LED headlights, Citroën Advanced Comfort suspension, Active Safety Brake (emergency braking system), the new Citroën Head Up Display, Smartphone Station for infotainment, electric mirrors, automatic lighting, rear parking aid, rear spoiler, cruise control, manual air conditioning, and six airbags. The Max version adds to the previous level a two-tone paint job, with a contrasting roof, decorative roof bars, front and rear protection plates, 17” diamond-finished alloy wheels, LED rear lights, and tinted rear windows. Inside, there is a 10.25” color touchscreen that provides access to a state-of-the-art infotainment system and 3D navigation, Citroën Advanced Comfort seats in TEP/Gray Metropolitan fabric, a second row of 60/40 folding seats, automatic air conditioning, wireless charging, reverse camera, electrochromic rearview mirror and electric rear windows, electrically foldable and heated exterior mirrors, automatic windshield wipers, and automatic switching high and low beam headlights.

The Citroën has already made it known that the new C3 is now available for order, in versions equipped with the 100 hp 1.2 PureTech engine that join the new 100% electric ë-C3 for a range that has the following prices:

C3 1.2 Puretech 100 hp CVM6 – YOU – €14 990
