Novo Berlingo Van ganha novo visual e maior autonomia elétrica

Citroën has decided to simultaneously renew its light commercial vehicles Berlingo Van, Jumpy, and Jumper, and the new range, wider and more diverse than ever, meets the growing needs of professionals in terms of sustainable mobility, with a 100% electric offering.

In the case of the Berlingo Van, one of the most popular light commercial models of the French brand, it now adopts the new Citroën signature with a more vertical and completely redesigned front, from the radiator grille to the bumper and headlights. On the side, the style changes are mainly seen in the wheels, which have a new look, and a new body color is proposed: Kiama Blue.

Inside, the cabin has been redesigned, with a new dashboard that offers even better ergonomics. The top of the new instrument panel includes a new 10” high-definition touchscreen. The new steering wheel also features controls for Cruise Control and the audio system. The electric variant is equipped with new paddles behind the steering wheel for energy recovery management based on the charge level.

Another novelty is that the Berlingo Van can be equipped with the new Advanced Comfort seats, with specific side supports, high-quality foam, and fabric.

The new Berlingo Van maintains the modularity and cargo volume that made its predecessor a success. Regardless of the engines, it is available with 2 or 3 seats and in two lengths: M at 4.40 m and XL at 4.75 m. It has a maximum useful volume of 4.4 m3 and a payload of 1 ton (780 kg in the electric variant). The Berlingo Van also maintains the extended cab version.

The new Berlingo Van is offered with a wide range of engines. In the internal combustion aspect, it has BlueHDi diesel engines of 100 hp and 130 hp. On the other hand, the ë-Berlingo Van maintains its 100% electric motor with 100 kW (136 hp) and a maximum torque of 270 Nm, associated with a new 50 kWh battery, which allows a maximum range of 330 km (WLTP cycle), 20% more than the previous model. This range can be optimized thanks to the new regenerative braking system, which can be activated in three different levels of regeneration, through the paddles mounted behind the steering wheel.

The three known driving modes are still available, depending on the intended use: Eco for maximum autonomy, Power for maximum performance, and Normal.

The ë-Berlingo Van can be equipped with an optional heat pump to keep the cabin warm in winter without using the battery, thus preserving its autonomy. It is also equipped with a 7.4 kW on-board charger and can optionally be equipped with an 11 kW three-phase charger for easier recharging.

Using a 7.4 kW wallbox, the ë-Berlingo Van can be fully charged in 7 hours and 30 minutes, or in 5 hours using an 11 kW wallbox. Citroën also mentioned that the battery can be charged from 0 to 80% at a public charging point of 100 kW in just 30 minutes.
