In one week, in New York, Bentley will officially and fully reveal a very special creation, developed from the Continental GT: the new Supersports. One hundred years after the launch of the original Super Sports, this will be only the fourth model in a century to bear this iconic designation of the Crewe brand – and, like the first, it will be a rare offering, produced in a limited edition.
For now, the British luxury car manufacturer is revealing only an image and a short video of its new sports car, in which it is only possible to see the respective wheels, as well as the Supersports logo applied on the side skirts, next to the front fenders. However, even without unveiling any specific technical details about it, it does provide three pieces of information that will surely make the eyes of enthusiasts of this type of offering, in general, and of the Continental GT, in particular, shine: it will be the lightest car of the modern Bentley era, the most driver-focused Continental GT ever – and the first with exclusively rear-wheel drive, for maximum steering involvement!
