“Netflix’s popular show ‘Driver to Survive’ destaca o momento impressionante em que Lando Norris considerou sair da McLaren por causa de seus desafios no início de 2023.”

The British pilot is entering his sixth season in Formula 1 with McLaren. Lando Norris, who has been part of the team since his rookie days in the sport, maintains a strong partnership with McLaren for over five years. Despite facing challenges, the bond between them remains unbreakable. However, a moment of frustration from Norris was captured by the infamous Netflix documentary series after a difficult start to the season.

At 24 years old, Norris became the leader of the British team after his teammate left in 2020. Despite going through several driver changes within the team, the British emerged as a respected figure in the sport. He has honed his ability to adapt and extract the maximum performance from the car, surpassing the capabilities of other drivers. However, Norris began to question his decision to stay with McLaren and considered exploring other options.

After a disappointing weekend for the team in Miami, Norris was caught discussing the possibility of joining another team. This moment was captured when the team boss praised Norris’ driving skills. This led the British driver to contemplate leaving the team after a weak performance in the first half of the season and considering a move to the reigning champions.

It was recently announced that Norris’ teammate would leave McLaren at the end of the season. However, a few days before this announcement, Norris had signed a contract extension with the team. Now, the British pilot reflects on whether he regrets his decision to extend his contract, knowing that a place in the dominant Silver Arrows team would be available for the 2025 season.

Norris acknowledges that he was aware of the future opportunities that could arise soon. However, he had unwavering faith in McLaren. He believes that the progress they have made in the second half of the season will allow the team to stand out and compete for top positions again.

Recently, McLaren revealed and started using their new wind tunnel, which has helped them reduce the performance gap to the Red Bull team. Witnessing these developments, Norris has committed to staying with McLaren for a few more years. The British pilot is determined to pursue his first championship title and restore glory to the English team.
