Nasser Al-Attiyah Makes Dakar History Again: 19 Rallies, 19 Wins — and Dacia’s First Ever One-Two

Nasser Al-Attiyah continues to redefine what consistency means at the Dakar Rally.

With victory on today’s stage, the Qatari driver has now achieved stage wins in 19 consecutive Dakar Rallies — a streak that stands alone in the history of the event. No other competitor has ever managed to secure at least one stage victory across so many editions of the world’s toughest rally.

And this latest triumph carried even greater significance.

Dacia’s Second Dakar Win — And a Historic One-Two

Al-Attiyah’s performance delivered Dacia’s second-ever stage victory at the Dakar, exactly one year after he opened the manufacturer’s account with a breakthrough win on stage 9 of the previous edition.

This time, history went even further.

With Sébastien Loeb finishing second, Dacia secured the first one-two stage result in its Dakar history — a landmark moment for the brand on the rally-raid’s biggest stage.

Pure Authority at the Finish Line

Al-Attiyah left no doubt about his dominance.

He stopped the clock 2’58’’ faster than Loeb, sealing a commanding victory and adding yet another chapter to his extraordinary Dakar résumé. This success marks:

  • Al-Attiyah’s 49th Dakar stage win in the car category
  • Just one win shy of the all-time record jointly held by Ari Vatanen and Stéphane Peterhansel

A Streak That Defies Comparison

Nineteen Dakars.
Nineteen editions with at least one stage victory.

In an event where one mistake can end everything, Al-Attiyah has built a record of unmatched longevity, precision, and relentless competitiveness.

Now, with Dacia celebrating its first Dakar one-two and the all-time stage-win record firmly within reach, the message is unmistakable:

Nasser Al-Attiyah is not just winning stages — he is still making Dakar history.
