NASCAR: Full Speed Returns for Electrifying Second Season on Netflix, New Production Partnership Announced

The adrenaline-pumping NASCAR docuseries, “NASCAR: Full Speed,” is set to return for a second season in 2025 on Netflix, following the success of its debut earlier this year. The docuseries, which captivated racing fans and newcomers alike, will once again take viewers deep inside the world of NASCAR’s high-octane drama.

In a major announcement, NASCAR Studios and Words + Pictures confirmed the show’s return and unveiled a new production venture, Full Speed Entertainment. This collaboration aims to expand NASCAR content beyond the docuseries, delving into documentaries, studio shows, special events, podcasts, and more. It’s an ambitious leap forward for NASCAR’s presence in the ever-growing world of sports entertainment.

“I couldn’t be more excited to be expanding our partnership with NASCAR with Full Speed Entertainment,” said Connor Schell, CEO and founder of Words + Pictures. “The first season of Full Speed was a really rewarding project for our company, and it was a thrill to work side-by-side with NASCAR Studios every step of the way. The opportunity to bring audiences more great racing content and collaborate with NASCAR opens a wealth of possibilities we can’t wait to get working on.”

The first season of “NASCAR: Full Speed,” which premiered in January 2024, featured five gripping episodes that followed the intense battle for the NASCAR Cup Series title. From the final race of the regular season to the high-stakes playoff drama, viewers got a front-row seat to the action. Cameras not only captured the races but also offered an exclusive glimpse into the lives of the drivers, crew chiefs, and analysts as they navigated the pressures of the NASCAR world.

Among the drivers featured were 2023 champion Ryan Blaney, Denny Hamlin, Ross Chastain, William Byron, Bubba Wallace, Tyler Reddick, Christopher Bell, Kyle Larson, and Joey Logano. The show’s intimate access allowed fans to see the human side of these athletes, following them from the track to their homes.

Tim Clark, NASCAR’s executive vice president and chief brand officer, echoed the excitement surrounding the new partnership: “Early into the Full Speed process, I knew we wanted to find more ways to collaborate and capitalize on new opportunities for NASCAR as cultural demand for compelling sports stories continues to grow. Words + Pictures is the premier storyteller in the sports content space, and Connor’s team excels in not just generating big ideas and visions, but executing them in ways that captivate big audiences.”

With “NASCAR: Full Speed” set to return in 2025 and the new Full Speed Entertainment venture poised to deliver even more groundbreaking content, NASCAR fans can expect the next level of racing storytelling. Buckle up, because the world of NASCAR is shifting into high gear.
