The Morgan Supersport 400 is positioned as the most powerful production model in the history of the Morgan Motor Company.
Based on the recently launched Supersport as the successor to the Plus Six, this new version significantly elevates the level of performance without sacrificing the retro aesthetic identity that defines the brand.
BMW engine and significant power increase
Under the hood is the well-known BMW B58 engine:
- six inline cylinders
- 3.0 liters turbo
- power of 402 hp (+67 hp compared to the base model)
- torque of 500 Nm (unchanged)
The transmission is ensured by an eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox, with rear-wheel drive.
Reduced weight, top performance
As is tradition at Morgan, weight is a key factor. The Supersport 400 weighs only about 1,170 kg, an extremely low figure for a modern sports car.
This allows for impressive numbers:
- 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds
- top speed of 290 km/h
Improved dynamics with new chassis and suspension
The model comes standard with the Dynamic Handling package, which introduces:
- adjustable Nitron dampers
- revised suspension geometry
- greater body control
Optionally, it can be equipped with a limited-slip differential, enhancing traction in more demanding driving.
More intense sound and enhanced character
Morgan has also developed a new high-flow exhaust system, designed to offer a more immersive and emotional sound experience.
