Australian driver Oscar Piastri expressed his frustration after qualifying in third place for the Monaco Grand Prix, admitting to hitting more walls in one weekend than in his entire career. Piastri, who drives for McLaren, was outperformed by his teammate Lando Norris and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc during the qualifying session.

Despite being the championship leader, Piastri found himself struggling to match Norris’s flawless performance, especially during the Q3 session. The young driver humorously remarked to journalists in Monaco that he had “hit more walls this weekend than in his entire career.”

Reflecting on his performance, Piastri acknowledged Norris’s impressive pole position and admitted that beating him would have been a tough challenge. The Australian driver, while content with his third-place qualification, highlighted the uncertainty of the weekend and his struggles to find the right rhythm on the track.

Piastri’s candid remarks provide insight into the intense competition among McLaren drivers and the challenges faced on the iconic Monaco circuit. As the anticipation builds for the race, all eyes will be on Piastri as he aims to overcome his qualifying setbacks and secure a strong finish in the Grand Prix.
