A dramatic showdown unfolded on the Monaco Grand Prix track as Pierre Gasly pointed fingers at Yuki Tsunoda, blaming him for a collision that ended Gasly’s race prematurely. The intense moment occurred as Gasly attempted to overtake his former teammate, Tsunoda, resulting in a forceful impact that brought out the Virtual Safety Car.

Gasly, representing Alpine, initially claimed to have had brake issues but later shifted the blame to Tsunoda, accusing him of erratic maneuvers. “Yuki made a mistake before the tunnel, so I got very close. Every lap he was braking on the right. On that lap, I was very close, so I decided to stay on the left. He started braking on the left, so I went right, and he went back to the right. I couldn’t go anywhere,” expressed the frustrated French driver.

In response, Tsunoda defended his actions, stating he would repeat the same move if given another chance. Despite Gasly’s accusations, race stewards sided with Tsunoda, issuing Gasly a reprimand. The decision was based on the belief that Tsunoda had followed a trajectory similar to previous laps, did not defend off-track, and did not move during braking, contrary to Gasly’s claims.

The clash between Gasly and Tsunoda has reignited tensions on the track, leaving fans and experts divided over who was at fault. As the Monaco Grand Prix continues to captivate audiences worldwide, the aftermath of this incident is sure to linger in the minds of racing enthusiasts.
