Monaco Grand Prix Shock: Hadjar’s Payback Plan for Lawson Revealed in Bold Move

Young racing sensation Isack Hadjar has stirred up controversy by joking about payback to Liam Lawson following their strategic moves at the Monaco Grand Prix. The intense race saw Lawson intentionally slowing down the pack, allowing Hadjar to make crucial pit stops without losing positions on the track.

The strategic gameplay paid off as Hadjar secured a remarkable sixth-place finish, his best result in Formula 1 so far, while Lawson crossed the line in eighth, also marking his career-best finish and first points of the season. Their teamwork set off a domino effect as other teams like Williams and Mercedes followed suit in managing the pace to aid their teammates in the race.

When questioned about Lawson’s role in the strategy, Hadjar commended the New Zealander’s performance, stating, “He did fantastic. He did pretty well to back off, and that was planned. He did well, and I’ve thanked him enough now, I think.” While acknowledging Lawson’s contribution, Hadjar downplayed his own involvement in the process, emphasizing the importance of the strategic planning and both drivers qualifying in the top 10.

Regarding how he plans to repay Lawson for his assistance in Monaco, Hadjar humorously mentioned that it would be “nothing racing related.” Suggestions of treating Lawson to a nice dinner were met with a laugh from Hadjar, indicating a friendly off-track gesture in return for their on-track collaboration.

The Monaco Grand Prix showcased not only thrilling on-track action but also the strategic maneuvers behind the scenes that can make or break a race. The camaraderie between teammates and the impact of teamwork in Formula 1 were on full display, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the already intense competition.
