Lance Stroll Slapped with Harsh DOUBLE FIA Penalty at Monaco Grand Prix Amid Lewis Hamilton Mix-Up

Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll is facing a tumultuous time at the Monaco Grand Prix, having been hit with not one but two penalties by the FIA. The Canadian driver, who already received a grid drop penalty during practice, is now dealing with a four-place grid penalty for impeding incidents during the race weekend.

Stroll’s troubles began with a one-place grid penalty for blocking Charles Leclerc during FP1, resulting in a collision between the two drivers. The situation escalated during qualifying when Stroll impeded Pierre Gasly, prompting the FIA to impose an additional three-place grid penalty on the Aston Martin driver.

The confusion arose when Stroll mistook Lewis Hamilton for the only car behind him and inadvertently blocked Gasly, who was on a fast lap. Stroll’s misjudgment led to severe consequences, pushing him to the back of the grid for the race, starting from 19th position.

Following the mishap with Leclerc that left Stroll’s car in disarray, his team faced a race against time to repair the gearbox and rear suspension. Despite their efforts, Stroll’s lackluster qualifying performance placed him at the bottom of the grid, with his teammate Fernando Alonso faring much better in seventh place.

As Stroll grapples with the fallout from the penalties, Alonso’s success serves as a stark contrast within the Aston Martin team. With the Monaco Grand Prix set to unfold amidst these controversies, all eyes will be on Stroll as he navigates the challenges awaiting him on race day.
