Mobilize apresenta o Duo e a versão de carga Bento

Mobilize, the brand of the Renault Group, is committed to accelerating the development of sustainable and responsible mobility, and is ready to present two new mobility solutions designed for urban use.

These are two electric quadricycles, Duo and Bento, intended for both private customers and businesses, which can be driven with or without a driver’s license, depending on the version and regulations of each market.

The Duo is equipped with scissor-opening doors, reminiscent of some super sports cars, and features integrated opening windows. Additionally, it comes with some “luxuries” typically found in conventional cars, such as heated seats, air conditioning, Bluetooth, and an airbag.

Inside, the standout feature is the ‘boombox’-shaped instrument panel, a mobile audio system associated with 80s urban music, like hip-hop. It is also notable that the controls are deliberately basic, allowing users to handle the vehicle easily, as part of a fully intuitive approach. The screen functions and connectivity are provided by the driver’s smartphone, using a Bluetooth or USB-C connection.

A transducer installed between the ‘boombox’ and the windshield transforms the cabin into a large speaker, providing sound in all directions without the need for speakers.

The tandem seats are covered in TEP fabric, which can be cleaned with a sponge or even a hose, featuring a drain beneath the pedals that allows for water drainage. Additionally, the various storage spaces have a total capacity of 300 liters.

Built according to the principles of circular economy, the Mobilize Duo incorporates over 40% of the vehicle’s weight from materials sourced from the circular economy: double the usual for conventional electric vehicles. The production of parts and components for the Duo generates 66% less greenhouse gases than an electric car in segment A.

Measuring 2.43 meters in length and 1.30 meters in width, with a turning radius of 6.8 meters, the Duo is equipped with a 48V electric motor derived from the hybrid powertrain of the Renault Austral. Powering the motor is an NMC battery with 10.3 kWh, which corresponds to a single module from the battery pack of the Renault 5 E-Tech electric, allowing for a maximum range of up to 161 km (or 100 km in cold weather).

For recharging, the Duo has a standard socket on the front hood for domestic connections or, optionally, a Type 2 socket suitable for most public or corporate charging points. The battery charges from 20% to 80% in 3 hours and 50 minutes on an AC outlet and in less than 25 minutes on a DC outlet.

Mobilize announced that the Duo is available in three versions: the Duo 45 Neo, which is a reliable mobility solution for users without a driver’s license and can be driven by a minor (from 16 years old in Portugal, with a B1 license), and has a maximum speed of 45 km/h.

The Duo 80 Evo, with a maximum speed of 80 km/h and a range of 160 km, is designed for users with a driver’s license looking for a compact, comfortable, and original vehicle, whether for personal use or as a second domestic vehicle.

On the other hand, the Duo 80 Pro is aimed at companies and shared mobility operators. With customizable options and native connectivity, it can be easily integrated into fleet management solutions.

The Bento quadricycle, along with the other sustainable mobility proposal from Mobilize, is ideal for last-mile deliveries in cities and comes equipped with a closed cargo box that replaces the rear seat, offering 649 liters of space.

This microvan designed for urban use has a range of up to 149 km, which the brand claims is sufficient to meet daily work demands.

“The Duo and the Bento embody a bold and futuristic vision of urban mobility, with a design that transcends traditional automotive codes. Designed with over 40% recycled materials, these vehicles are part of an ecological approach. Like a smartphone, they are simple, smart, and connected. Tailored for the city, they stand out for their safety, exceptional agility, and reduced ecological footprint.”, stated Matthieu Tenenbaum, COO of Mobilize.

Unveiled in their final versions at the Paris Motor Show, the Duo and the Bento are expected to hit the market in the second quarter of 2025.
