Mobi.E regista mais de 339 mil carregamentos em janeiro

The public charging network, Mobi.E, announced on Friday that it recorded 448,000 electric vehicle charges in April, representing a 66% increase compared to the same month in 2023.

In terms of energy consumption, the electric charging network reached nearly 9 million kWh, an 80% increase compared to the same period last year.

“The continuous growth of the network is one of the main factors contributing to these numbers, as it has kept pace with the increase in the number of electric vehicles,”, clarified Mobi.E in a statement.

Another relevant data point is the power of the network, which exceeded 261,000 kW, about 4% above the target set in the European regulation “Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Regulation” (AFIR).

Thus, in the first four months of 2024, a total of about 1.7 million charges were made, representing a 67% increase compared to the first four months of last year, and approximately 33,000 MWh of energy was consumed, an 86% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

Approximately 132,500 unique users charged their vehicles on the Mobi.E network between January and April, representing a growth of about 66% compared to the same period last year. On average, each user made 13 charges on the Mobi.E network in this first four-month period.

As for the environmental impact of the Mobi.E network, more than 27,000 tons of CO2 were saved from January to April.

The Mobi.E also clarified that by the end of April, there were approximately 4750 public access points in the network, which corresponds to about 8380 charging points, and that around 1730 charging points were fast or ultra-fast, representing 36% of the total network.

“Currently, there are 90 sockets, on average, for every 100 kilometers of highway. For every 100 thousand inhabitants, an average of 122 sockets are available,” concludes Mobi.E.
