Mobi.E and Atlante, from the Italian group NHOA, have closed an agreement for the development of an Iberian interoperability solution, aiming at a network of electric vehicle charging stations in Portugal and Spain.

“With this understanding, the commitment focuses on the partnership’s efforts to create conditions that allow anyone with a Portuguese electric car or any Atlante customer, Iberian or not, to freely use the Mobi.E charging stations in Portugal, as well as those of the Italian company in Spain”, explained Mobi.E in a statement.

The agreement was publicly celebrated on Thursday at the Mobi.Connect event, which marked the 13th anniversary of the public entity that coordinates the network of electric vehicle charging stations in the national territory, bringing together the sector to discuss the new regulations of the European Union and the challenges of mobility in Portugal, under the theme “Now is Electric”.

“Our model has been, since its conception exactly 13 years ago, different from everything else done in Europe, and with this we further extend the reach of this truly unique project”, emphasized Luís Barros, president of Mobi.E.

For Giovanni Ravina, CEO of Atlante in Portugal and Spain, the agreement with Mobi.E is another step in the “mission to create the largest network of fast and ultra-fast charging in southern Europe”.
