Mobi.E, the public entity responsible for the electric mobility network, and the Automobile Association of Portugal (ACAP) signed a protocol to create an observatory that allows the sharing of technical information about vehicles and electric car charging infrastructure, with the purpose of accelerating the energy transition in the automotive sector.
Under the protocol now signed between the two entities, Mobi.E will provide data on the public charging infrastructure for electric vehicles and ACAP information on registrations, records, and vehicle parks.
Mobi.E also commits to providing information to ACAP that clarifies its associates regarding the licensing of charging stations and the operation of this market in terms of infrastructure. In addition, the organizations are committed to developing and participating in public actions to promote electric mobility.
“This is another important step that brings the automotive sector closer to electric mobility and will contribute to the dissemination of relevant information about the energy transition in the mobility sector.”, emphasized Luís Barroso, president of Mobi.E
On the other hand, Helder Pedro, secretary-general of ACAP, also highlights that “the automotive industry has made significant investments in electric mobility, with a wide range of vehicles being introduced to the market. With the signing of this protocol, we intend, on one hand, to disseminate information about the charging infrastructure and, on the other hand, to promote this type of mobility.”
