In line with Mitsubishi Motors’ minivan from the early 2000s, the name Grandis, derived from the Latin word meaning “large” and “impressive,” was chosen for the new model to reflect the spacious interior and the design, which is dominated at the front by a new interpretation of the characteristic “Dynamic Shield” of Mitsubishi, while the distinctive rear emphasizes the “Hexaguard Horizon” shape, reinforcing the identity of the new SUV.
Designed for Europe, the new Grandis will be available with hybrid engines, and it is nothing more than a “twin brother” of the Renault Symbioz, featuring stylistic details that already define the latest proposals from the Japanese brand.

Mitsubishi has announced that the new Grandis will hit the market in October 2025, and subsequently, the Japanese brand will launch a 100% electric SUV. Both models will be manufactured in Europe by the Renault Group.
