Mitsubishi has already begun pre-sales of the new generation of the Eclipse Cross, the first 100% electric vehicle from the three-diamond brand, integrated into its relaunch program in the European market. This compact, derived from the Renault Scénic E-Tech Electric, is offered in Portugal only in one equipment version (Intense), with an engine of 220 hp, available from €43,000.
In the second generation of the Eclipse Cross, the first produced by Renault in Douai, France, the engine is electric, powered by a battery with a capacity of 87 kWh. According to the brand, this combination allows for a declared range of up to 625 km in a combined cycle, or up to 819 km in an urban environment, according to the European homologation protocol (WLTP).

This Mitsubishi visually distinguishes itself enough from the Renault it derives from, with which it shares the AmpR Medium platform, as well as most components and equipment, namely the infotainment system with a Google ecosystem (which integrates voice control and navigation, for example). In terms of digitization, the Eclipse Cross features two screens on the dashboard, one with 12.3” (instrumentation) and another with 12”, positioned centrally and vertically (infotainment).
Astara, the Mitsubishi importer for Portugal, offers the Eclipse Cross EV at a “turnkey” price of €44,500, but the first 50 units can be purchased for €43,000, with an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty. The first deliveries are expected next January.
