After three consecutive victories by Eryk Cozal, Mitchell Guthrie was the first to beat the Polish in the Challenger at Dakar 2024, winning the third stage. In the SSV category, Yasir Seaidan was the winner ahead of Portuguese João Ferreira.

In the T3/Challenger category, Guthrie (Taurus Factory Team) finally broke the Goczal clan’s hegemony by being 1m09s faster than Eryk (Energylandia Rally Team/Taurus). Marek, in another Taurus from Energylandia Rally Team, finished third, 5m32s behind. The day was not positive for Michal Goczal (Energylandia Rally Team/Taurus), who only achieved the 27th position. With this, Eryk Goczal solidified his lead, now being 15m47s ahead of Marek, while Guthrie moved up to third and is 15m58s behind. Ricardo Porém (MMP/Can-Am) was the best Portuguese in ninth place and also in the overall standings, in 14th.

Regarding the SSV category, competing at home, Seaidan (BRP) achieved victory in the stage, prevailing over Portuguese João Ferreira (Can-Am Factory Team) by a clear 4m07s. Gerard Farres Guell (South Racing Can-Am) achieved the third fastest time, 5m24s behind, but retained the overall lead. Several of his pursuers before the stage were delayed and he is now 15m05s ahead of rookie Sara Price (South Racing Can-Am). Jérôme de Sadeleer (MMP/BRP) moved up to third, while Rodrigo Varela (Team BBR/BRP) dropped from second to fourth. Seaidan is now sixth, just ahead of Ferreira.
