In a thrilling turn of events, the 2025 Spa 24 Hours saw the Grasser Lamborghini team clinch their first-ever victory at the prestigious endurance race. Piloted by the talented trio of Mirko Bortolotti, Luca Engstler, and Jordan Pepper, the Huracan GT3 roared to triumph after an intense battle on the track.

The race unfolded with unprecedented drama, as the final eight hours remained uninterrupted, setting the stage for a nail-biting conclusion. While the Rowe Racing’s #98 BMW initially posed a challenge, strategic Full Course Yellow (FCY) periods ultimately determined the outcome of the race.

A pivotal moment occurred during the 13th FCY when both the Grasser Lamborghini and the Rowe Racing BMW made crucial pit stops. Despite BMW’s efforts, it was the Lamborghini that emerged victorious, seizing the lead and holding onto it tenaciously.

As the race entered its closing stages, the #96 Rutronik Racing Porsche briefly claimed the top spot after a well-timed pit stop. However, misfortune struck when the Porsche suffered a puncture, allowing the Grasser Lamborghini to regain its lead in a heart-stopping moment.

Although a tense final pit stop threatened to derail their victory, Bortolotti and the Lamborghini team managed to maintain their edge, crossing the finish line with a lead of 8.703 seconds. This historic win not only marked Lamborghini as the 20th different manufacturer to conquer the Spa 24 Hours but also secured the first victory at the event for all three drivers.

In a post-race twist, a time penalty against the Rowe BMW elevated the #51 AF Corse’s Ferrari to third place, rewarding Alessio Rovera, Vincent Abril, and Alessandro Pier Guidi for their impressive performance. Meanwhile, the #58 McLaren seemed destined for victory in the Gold Cup until a late-race puncture dashed their hopes, allowing the #33 Verstappen.com Racing Aston Martin to claim the class win.

Despite moments of triumph, the race was not without its share of danger, as a terrifying high-speed accident between the #22 Schumacher-CLRT Porsche and the #112 CSA McLaren shocked spectators. Fortunately, both drivers emerged unscathed from the harrowing incident, serving as a reminder of the risks involved in the world of motorsport.

The 2025 Spa 24 Hours will be remembered as a showdown of skill, strategy, and sheer determination, solidifying Lamborghini’s legacy in the annals of endurance racing.
