Italian driver Gabriele Mini, representing Prema Racing, secured consecutive victories in the highlight races of Monaco, propelling him to the top of the championship. Despite the Monaco race being marked by safety car interventions, Mini managed to hold off Christian Mansell and emerged as the eighth different winner in the 2024 season. This consistent performance led Mini to the top of the Drivers’ Championship. Starting from pole position, Mini successfully defended his position against Mansell’s advances at the initial corner, leading the pack in the challenging first lap. The early morning breeze made it difficult for several drivers to warm up their tires, resulting in a collision at the hairpin turn on the first lap. Piotr Wisnicki pushed Charlie Wurz into the barriers at Portier, causing Wurz’s premature retirement as his Jenzer Motorsport car got stuck on the wall. The incident prompted a one-lap safety car period to allow marshals to remove the Jenzer Motorsport car, and Wisnicki received a 10-second penalty for causing the collision. Mini regained the lead after the restart, but Mansell began applying pressure in an attempt to overtake. Unfortunately, PHM Racing driver Nikita Bedrin was forced to retire on lap 5 after being hit by Nikola Tsolov at the hairpin turn. Joseph Loake executed a bold move on the inside of the final corner, successfully overtaking Campos Racing’s Mari Boya to secure seventh place. The leading duo gradually pulled away from the rest of the pack, establishing a three-second advantage over third-placed Luke Browning. Mansell remained less than half a second behind Mini, keeping the Alpine Junior Driver under pressure to force a mistake. On lap 12, a piece of debris flew from Alex Dunne’s McLaren Academy car as he exited the tunnel, leaving him vulnerable in the lower positions.
Loake had a severe blockage at Nouvelle Chicane on lap 14, facing increased pressure from Boya in the battle for seventh place.
Boya quickly overtook the Rodin driver to claim seventh position, as the team aimed to avoid a penalty for going off track at Nouvelle Chicane.
Van Hoepen made a bold move on lap 15, passing Noel Leon at the hairpin to secure a points finish.
Martinius Stenshorne was penalized with a 10-second penalty on lap 1 for gaining an advantage by going off track, causing him to drop down the tight grid.
Mini finally escaped Mansell’s DRS zone on lap 17, managing to pull away from the pursuing ART Grand Prix driver.
Despite suffering an exhaust issue throughout the Feature Race, Prema Racing’s driver, Dino Beganovic, held onto his sixth position.
A collision involving three cars at Turn 5 on lap 20 resulted in the deployment of the safety car, as Sami Meguetounif veered off at Mirabeau, causing Leon and Tsolov to get caught up in the chaos.
Meguetounif retired from the race as the safety car bunched up the pack again after Mini and Browning pulled away from their DRS trains.
Tsolov received a 10-second time penalty for the incident at Mirabeau, as he did not leave enough space for Leon during his overtaking attempt.
During the safety car restart on lap 23, Tim Tramnitz managed to pass Loake on the outside at the hairpin, securing ninth place.
Van Hoepen collided with the barriers at Tabac while battling for ninth place with Loake, resulting in the safety car being deployed once again due to debris scattered across the track.
The ART Grand Prix driver tried to overtake Loake by squeezing on the outside at Tabac, but was forced to retire.
In a one-lap sprint after the safety car re-entry, Mini held onto his lead to secure consecutive victories in the Monaco Formula 3 feature races.
Mansell closely followed in second place, with Browning and Arvin Lindblad pressuring Mini throughout the race.
Browning earned valuable points in the championship battle, while Leonardo Fornaroli, in fifth place, lost the lead to the Alpine Junior Driver.
Beganovic secured a sixth place ahead of Boya, Tramnitz, and Loake, who successfully resisted Oliver Goethe’s pressure to complete the points positions.
