Title: Shocking Decision by KTM Leaves Jack Miller Disappointed

In a surprising twist, Jack Miller recently revealed that KTM instructed him to remain silent about a possible move to MotoGP in 2025, only to later inform him that he would be released from the team. Miller’s uncertain position within KTM arose after Pedro Acosta’s impressive rookie season earned him a promotion to the factory team alongside Brad Binder.

Speculation was rife that Miller would be demoted to the Tech3 GasGas satellite team. However, just before the Dutch Grand Prix, KTM expressed their desire to keep him. Miller expressed his surprise at the sudden change, stating, “The last thing I heard was ‘don’t worry about talking to anyone because we want to keep you in the family,’ and then you get a call three hours before the press release saying you’re not getting a contract.”

Miller’s disappointment is palpable, as he had joined the KTM project with the intention of staying for the long haul. Leaving behind a highly competitive bike on the grid, he had hoped to contribute his experience to the team’s development. Reflecting on his efforts, Miller commented, “I feel like last year, what we managed to bring to improve the bike to a certain extent was a big addition.”

Despite the unexpected turn of events, Miller remains determined and focused on his future in MotoGP. KTM’s shocking decision has left him disillusioned, but he remains committed to his passion for the sport.

Miller has had a tough season so far, managing to accumulate only 27 points in the first seven rounds. This currently puts him in 16th place in the standings.

The KTM has made the decision to make changes to its team for the 2025 season. They have hired Maverick Vinales and Enea Bastianini on long-term contracts.

Miller revealed that he has other options available to him. There have been reports linking him to Gresini Ducati, Honda, and possibly Pramac, if an agreement with Yamaha for an engine materializes.

“At this moment, it’s just talk,” Miller said. “I need to consider what I want and what each project has to offer. The opportunity to join Ducati is very intriguing, as I am familiar with the bike and the team structure. I have no doubt that I can quickly return to the top five if I ride that bike. However, many changes are happening in MotoGP in 2027. I want to find a long-term home where I can finish my last strong years in MotoGP and work towards a common goal. I thought we had that here, but it seems we didn’t. So, it’s something I need to think about. Money is not the problem for me. It’s about what I want for my career.”

When asked about the possibility of becoming a test rider in MotoGP, Miller responded, “At this moment, I can’t even consider that because I don’t see myself as a test rider. I really enjoy competing. I don’t find the testing part exciting. I do it because I enjoy the work and because it helps me achieve my goals. But simply riding in circles on a bike doesn’t excite me. I’m here to compete with 22 other bikes. Who knows what the future holds, but all I want to do is race.”
