In the last on-track event of the Formula 1 in this calendar year, Mick Schumacher was aboard the Mercedes this week at Magny-Cours to test for Pirelli.
It was a session focused on wet tires, concluding the track work in their development. The German completed 90 laps and the fastest one was done in 1m37.893s – with rain tires.
The sporting director of Pirelli, Mario Isola, spoke about the impressions gathered on this testing day: ‘The test took place in challenging weather conditions, with low temperatures that complicated the planned program. Nevertheless, we collected data that we will now carefully analyze to see how we can develop this type of tire. I would like to thank Mercedes for all their collaboration throughout this test, as was the case on other occasions during the year’.
