The Miami Grand Prix organizers are bracing for a tidal wave of interest as Lewis Hamilton embarks on his first season with Ferrari in 2025, a pairing that promises to elevate the already electric Formula 1 atmosphere in the United States. Miami Grand Prix president Tyler Epp revealed that the combination of F1’s most iconic team and its most decorated driver is a commercial and fan engagement dream, poised to resonate deeply in South Florida and beyond.

Hamilton’s Ferrari Effect

Hamilton’s move to Ferrari has already set the F1 world ablaze with excitement. Tyler Epp acknowledged the unprecedented commercial potential of this partnership, saying, “We’re scratching the surface of it, but the impact is undeniable.” Epp emphasized Ferrari’s unparalleled brand power, noting its symbiotic relationship with Hamilton’s star power:

“To put those two pieces together, fueled by the power of Formula 1 on the world stage, I think we all see what could be the reality here.”

Hamilton’s first test for Ferrari at Fiorano, which drew massive attention from fans and media alike, signals what’s to come during race weekends. In Miami, where Ferrari’s rich legacy intersects with the city’s international flair, the anticipation is palpable.

Miami’s Unique Appeal

Epp praised the Grand Prix’s growth and its distinctive South Florida identity, which differentiates it from other races. He highlighted how Miami’s ability to integrate F1 with the local culture has bolstered its popularity:

“We’re proud of what we’ve built. Stefano [Domenicali] and Formula 1 allow us to be Miami – not just another F1 race in another market.”

The event’s local engagement strategies, which include year-round motorsport activities tied to Hard Rock Stadium, are strengthening ties with the community and ensuring the race remains a fixture in the cultural and sporting calendar.

Steady Growth in a Key Market

Epp noted that Miami has become a crucial hub for F1 in the U.S., with South Florida and Latin America driving much of the event’s growth. Social media engagement and innovative membership programs have further amplified interest, fostering a unique connection with the diverse local fanbase.

Looking Ahead

With Hamilton and Ferrari set to dominate headlines, Miami is poised for a record-breaking 2025. As Epp put it, “We’re seeing engagement in ways we’ve never seen before, and Lewis Hamilton’s move to Ferrari is only going to accelerate that growth.”

The May event promises to showcase not just thrilling on-track action but also the enduring allure of Formula 1’s most iconic brand and its superstar driver—right in the heart of South Florida’s vibrant, international stage.
