The MG S5 achieved the highest rating of five stars in the latest round of tests by Euro NCAP, the leading independent vehicle safety assessment program in Europe.
The 100% electric SUV from the British brand, owned by the Chinese SAIC, recorded its best result in the adult protection category with 90%, while child protection received a rating of 82%, as did the protection of more vulnerable road users. In terms of assistance and safety systems, the MG S5 achieved 78%.
It is worth noting that the MG S5 features a comprehensive range of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). MG Pilot covers key areas such as collision prevention, lane-keeping safety, cruise control features, and driving assistance functionalities, including active emergency braking and blind spot detection.

“Euro NCAP continues to encourage manufacturers to strive for the highest levels of safety, and it is gratifying to see that MG has responded so positively, with excellent performance in all areas of occupant and partner protection”, said Aled Williams, director of the Euro NCAP program, in a statement.
