The British brand MG, which belongs to the Chinese automotive group SAIC, celebrates its 100th anniversary this year and to mark the occasion will be present at the “Salon Privé London”, which takes place from April 18 to 20, with the new Cyberster, a roadster that will hit the market in the summer.
The MG Cyberster marks the return of the historic British brand to its sporting origins, as it is a 2-seater roadster with modern lines, but clearly inspired by the past, including scissor-opening doors and a canvas top, adding to that a fully electric powertrain.
It is already known that the new MG Cyberster will be offered in two versions, one with just one electric motor producing 340 hp, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds, while the variant with two electric motors and all-wheel drive produces 544 hp and is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds.
“The Salon Privé is the perfect setting to showcase the MG Cyberster to a wider audience and allow everyone to see it up close. We are excited to be part of this prestigious event and join some of the biggest brands in the world on display.”, said Guy Pigounakis, Commercial Director of MG Motor UK.
