Mercedes to be approached by Pierre Gasly eyeing Lewis Hamilton’s position in 2025.

The driver from Alpine is rumored to be considering a partnership with Mercedes. Lewis Hamilton and Pierre Gasly (Via IMAGO) Recently, it was announced that a certain individual would be leaving a team at the end of this year to join another team. This decision has put the Silver Arrows in a challenging position as they search for a replacement for the British driver. Now, speculation is circulating that a driver from a different team has set his sights on the second seat at Mercedes.

The French driver made his debut in the sport in 2017 with a specific team, and since then, his career has had its ups and downs. The 28-year-old was previously associated with a different team but decided to join Alpine in 2022. However, with the unexpected departure of the seven-time champion, Gasly is being considered as a potential replacement at Brackley.

According to F1.com, discussions are expected to take place between the two parties as the Frenchman appears to be the ideal candidate for the position. Additionally, Gasly’s teammate, who is managed by Mercedes, is also being considered, but Gasly seems to have the advantage.

Gasly is highly regarded among his fellow drivers and has an impressive ability to handle his car with precision. His contract is set to expire at the end of this season, and he will carefully consider all of his options for the future.

The Grand Prix winner is currently focused on his ongoing campaign with his current team. Although he has not confirmed any such claims, Gasly would undoubtedly be interested in securing a seat with Mercedes.

Gasly will give his all this season in the hopes of joining the team at Brackley. However, there are numerous contenders vying for a spot with Mercedes, including other drivers. The final decision regarding who will secure a place with the German manufacturer will be revealed at a later date.
