Mercedes revela motivos da queda de competitividade durante a temporada de 2024.

Mercedes is facing difficulties in achieving better performance with their W15 vehicle. Despite the initial optimism from James Vowles and Lewis Hamilton, the performance issues of the car became evident during pre-season testing. The issues were further highlighted during the race in Bahrain.

One of the main problems with the car is its instability, causing it to bounce on the track. This repetition of failures has left the drivers frustrated. Additionally, the car lacks adequate downforce in certain speed-sensitive areas. Mercedes’ technical director, Allison, acknowledged these problems.

However, there is uncertainty about whether the team will be able to fully resolve these issues with the W15. It is clear that the car requires more than just a quick fix. The team is currently in the process of determining the extent of the necessary changes, which may be a time-consuming task and require patience. However, the team is fully committed to resolving the issues.

The consistent lack of performance from the team has put Mercedes in a difficult position. Each passing day, they encounter more problems with the W15. The car, which was supposed to be their hope for success, is now causing major setbacks. The double retirement at the Australian Grand Prix was a nightmare scenario for the team. Even the team principal’s faith may be wavering, according to Brundle.

To address the car’s problems, the team is working tirelessly, even putting in extra hours. However, it is crucial for them to understand if they need to make fundamental adjustments, as this could further lower their position in the rankings. By identifying recurring patterns, the team will conduct further investigations to determine the root cause of the problems.
