During the recent Miami Grand Prix, Antonelli displayed his prowess by outqualifying his highly rated teammate, George Russell, twice and even securing pole position for the sprint race. Despite his remarkable one-lap speed, the 18-year-old driver still struggles to maintain consistency in races. While he managed to secure second place early on in the race, Antonelli fell behind as the competition intensified.

Reflecting on his performance in Miami, the young driver admitted, “I really struggled to make the tire work in the stint…I definitely need to analyze what went wrong in order to be better for Imola.”
Despite the challenges faced in Miami, Antonelli’s consistent top-six finishes in the first six races of his F1 career demonstrate his promising potential. Wolff remains optimistic about the young driver’s development, emphasizing that learning curves are inevitable in such a competitive sport.
